Abstract

Education is the basis for the formation of citizens capable of exercising their duties and enjoying their rights, and just as learning to read and multiply is necessary for the development of human beings. In this sense, this work aims to verify what the BNCC addresses about EA. The research carried out is qualitative in nature. The data collection instrument was based on keyword research, in order to address the environmental issue, with emphasis on the high school stage. The data were organized in tables, where the frequency of the keyword is cited in the text. The data show that the contents bring EE in a complementary and superficial way. EA needs to be addressed directly in the BNCC, avoiding a fragmented, ineffective approach. Since this is the way to build an egalitarian, sustainable and just society.
