LEARNING WITH NATURE: A REVIEW ON NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS (NBS)

This work aims to describe how the field of scientific research on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) is configured. For this, we carried out a bibliometric review. The bibliometric review uses quantitative data to analyze the bibliographic production on a given topic and helps researchers to find relevant works, research concentrations and themes in which the studies are focused, prominent countries in the research area, keywords, most cited authors , more referenced works, among other aspects. Regarding the methodological procedures, we used the proposal of systematization by Prado et al. (2016). The studies highlight the possibility of applying the theme in different areas such as water crisis, agriculture, green infrastructure and climate change. We conclude that research on NBS is still incipient, but has been growing in recent years. We also highlight the relevance of research in the Public and Administrative Sciences field on solutions based on nature and the possibilities of developing public policies from this perspective. Ultimately, developing NBS is to keep in mind that nature itself is the solution to problems.Downloads
