Abstract

Sustainable development is a look at the social, economic and environmental relations that puts in vogue what mankind can utilize of natural resources, without, however, damaging the environment. Quite the contrary, is to combine what man has built throughout its history in terms of knowledge, that nature can dispose without being degraded. Reconcile work, production and livelihood of the environment and of man is that we can stress for sustainability. This research aimed enable of sustainability educational  measures to protect and improve the environment leveraging  domestic organic waste for composting, the production of organic fertilizer as well as present an proposal ecological through the use of reusable bags at trade shows and supermarkets. The study was conducted in the populated Aparecida Mearim located 40 km of the city Grajaú at the banks of the River Mearim , where all the locals use agriculture as a middle of subsistence , to both run the project as a middle of reducing the impact caused by  garbage at the banks of river Mearim and utilize this garbage to produce the fertilizer that was used in the plantations of the community and with the residents of the municipality of Grajaú – MA, who are assiduous at the fair municipal. The fertilizer produced was utilized at the home gardens and flowerbeds of the residents, based on the results we realize that vegetables planted in organic fertilizer developed a better elongation foliar than those planted directly in manure providing in the improvement quality of the product. Were performed Lectures on the environment, pollution and degradation of the environment and sustainability. The long of meetings we realize that a ignorance about of sustainability and its stock was being replaced by sustainable actions and that were being recognized by the participants themselves. This study revealed that the organic fertilizer can come to replace the industrial fertilizers already that produces vegetables and fruits of better quality without the use of industrialized products. Sustainable actions are simple, but, at the same time require of people opposing actions to that they are used to doing , and perhaps out of habit , the reeducation of actions take longer, but are not impossible to be performed. In addition, information and clarification on these attitudes can provide a propagation of such actions by population.
