This article expatiates about the education and the young and adults literacy starting from the popular education and the subjective processes. It is a thinking exercise around some axes, principles and dimensions. It looks for clues that may help in the challenge of teaching young and adults to read and write, as an experience, a creation movement, in which reading and writing happen in the same time of the process of construction for a sense of living. It reaffirms education as a practice of freedom, a political act, an act of knowledge, in fact, a creative act.
