Abstract

This article is a plea for the recognition of the senses as an organ of knowledge and expression. Sensual knowledge is understood as aesthetic behavior which, in turn, is a fundamental way of symbolically visualizing the world. It is expressed, on the one hand, in Aisthesis, which is the reflexive perception determined by the senses and, on the other, in Poiesis, understood as aesthetic action. Both processes (aisthesis and poiesis) are described epistemologically and are also oriented towards application at school and here in physical education.
