Abstract

This article aimed to understand and apply four categories of Adorno in the ethic teaching in high school, from the texts exposed in the book Education and Emancipation (2006). We initially identified that ethical formation is now recognized by current Law nº 9.394 (BRAZIL, 1996) as one of the aims of high school; we defend that the ethic teaching can contribute to this activity; we analyzed the categories: conscience, elaborating the past, overcoming barbarize and emancipating based on Adorno's thought; and we propose, subsequently, a respective reflection on the possibility of applying these categories in the ethic teaching in high school, considering a possible context experienced by the student.
