THE COMPLEMENTARY DOCUMENTS TO THE PNBE ACCOUNTS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: ASPECTS THAT TEND TO THE WORDLESS PICTUREBOOK

The National Library-in-School Program (PNBE), one of the largest government programs in Brazil for book distribution, and which lasted from 1997 to 2014, dedicated the distribution of books for Early Childhood Education from 2008 to 2014. In this article we present and discuss the two complementary documents that accompanied the collections: Childhood Literature: Images and Words (BRASIL, 2008) and Guide 1 - PNBE in the school: literature outside the box (BRAZIL, 2014a), exploring what they say about the Book of Image, literary genre present in the collections. In providing a critical evaluation of the supplementary documents that accompanied the PNBE collections for Early Childhood Education, we try to explore new possibilities of dimensioning the aspects of literary books for children, studies in this field.Downloads
