The world is at the physical limit for the linear model, and to counter this unsustainable economic model comes the concept of circular economy, which proposes a behavioral change in the way of consuming and using natural resources and waste, proposing a new way of think about the nature and scarcity of natural resources. This study aimed to identify how sustainability reports in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) model published in 2019 by Coca-cola, Pepsico and Nestlé companies are showing circular economy. The methodology used had a qualitative approach and the analyzes were carried out in the 2019 sustainability reports. The study identifies a still incipient result, in meeting the objectives of the circular economy, it can be observed that, despite the companies presenting strategies for sustainable development, they are insufficient for the objectives and characteristics preached by the circular economy model. The research contributes to scientific and theoretical knowledge by filling the gap in knowledge regarding the circular economy theme and sustainability
reports, expanding the field of research with concepts. The practical tangibility contribution of the study is presented in the evidence of the comparative analysis of the reports that can be used by companies that wish to introduce the circular economy into their good practices.
