OBJECTIVE: Check how the approach of a feminist perspective in planning urban can influence women's enjoyment of the right to the city.
METHOD: To carry out this research, an exploratory methodology with bibliographic review is used.
RELEVANCE / ORIGINALITY: the right to the city must seek to combat sexism, an oppression of the patriarchal society that, unfortunately, manifests itself in the streets and in the very constitution of the city. Not having this perspective is collaborating with the inequality of access to urban space for men and women, as the city is itself masculine, built by men and for men.
RESULTS: It is noted that the construction of a new urban agenda elaborated from a gender perspective is essential for changing the situation of marginalization and oppression of women in the enjoyment of the right to the city.
THEORETICAL / METHODOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS: o carry out this research, the concepts of Social Invisibility pointed out by Professor Boaventura de Sousa Santos in “The Grammar of Time” are used, as well as the right to the city by Henri Lefebvre in the work “The right to the city in addition to bringing to light the naturalization of male domination with the thesis of Pierre Bordieu in the work “Male domination”
