This article deals with the presentation of some results of a study conducted during a doctoral process about the perception of a school community about an educational project that has research as an educational principle. In the meantime, through interviews and documentary analysis carried out, under the paradigmatic foundation of existential phenomenology and dialectical method, he put in show the interface between critical thinking and emancipatory education in the "speeches" of some members of the school community, demonstrating that the educational practice carried out in the project, since its conception its execution, not only modified the way teachers and students related to knowledge but , another educational practice that opened the possibility of community participation in the educational process in the school.
