This is about environmentalization in the context of an academic experience of initial teacher training. It aims to analyze a repertory of educational practices that had integrated the Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID IN Portuguese acronym), developed within a subproject in Pedagogy faculty of the State University of Pará (UEPA), Campus Belém. The environmentalization was configured by pedagogical activities and formative actions which sought to contribute for a critical comprehension of society-nature relationships, the transformation of this student’s perception, and awareness of elementary school students about their living spaces. These actions were guided by an interdisciplinary, dialogic and participative approach, energized within UEPA and at a school placed in the countryside of the city. Narratives of fellows and evaluation of actions infer that taking part in this subproject became a plus on their formation as teachers.
