Abstract

Thinking about the process of Curricular Environmentalization of teaching in Universities has been a challenge in the face of the liquidity of the present times, and the fragility of human relations. This gap, the result of the modern duality of the educational process, needs to be understood in order to make possible to integrate Environmental Education as a cross-cutting axis in the construction of an eco-citizen ethics. Aware of this challenge, this article aims to provide primary reflections on the interweaving between the Principles of Curricular Environmentalization and the contributions of Social Pedagogy in the formative process in Higher Education. With a starting point in Sensitization and walking to Eco-citizenship, it is evident that social education is one of the basic factors to potentiate the environmentalization of university education in the search for formations of reflexive and active individuals in favor of the transformation of oneself and the otherness.
