THE EDUCATION PROGRAMME OF PEDAGOGUES IN DENMARK: SPECIALIZATION IN PEDAGOGY OF EARLY YEARS

The article presents the pedagogues education program in Denmark for specialization in Early Childhood Education, one of three specializations to grant the bachelor diploma in Pedagogy. The text begins with a brief note on the Danish early childhood education system and the figure of the pedagogue, and follows with the description of the elements which make up the education program: historical context; regulatory structure; competence areas and goals; aesthetic forms of expression; placement and the role played by the supervisor of the centre and the university; the forms of self-evaluation and external one of students; and personal and academic skills. The text is finalized with a reflection on the contributions of the Danish program to think the Brazilian context, evidencing parallels, clear distinctions and counterpoints in the two education systems.
