Abstract

The following study discusses the research performed with three schools of Criciúma town - SC, which belongs to the state teaching network of Santa Catarina, about financial autonomy, resources application and their relation with the school pedagogical organization, using the documental analysis and half-structured interview with headmasters of the researched schools. It highlights, among other features that in the law analyzed there are indications on the autonomy in the financial application resources by the school manage center. However, because the law emphasizes the resources application in an instrumental way, it had leaded the headmasters to think more on the middle-activities itself than in its relation with end-activities. Then, it contributes to increase the historical dichotomy between the management and pedagogical center.
