Abstract

This article discusses the space/time, the practices and the symbolic status that the artistic education has in the teacher training, based on the curricular design of the Education Degree and the two Masters of Pre-School Education and Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st cycle of the University of Évora, which is included in the curricular guidelines and experience as a teacher, researcher and coordinator of educational artistic projects that has long been striving to bring together two scientific fields and sometimes different world views/interpretations. It also intend to justify the urgent need for immersion in creative and reflexive processes as a condition for the development of a quality artistic education, as well as the development of lively partnerships with the cultural and artistic contexts of production and dissemination.
