With the crisis of the foundations that have supported the modern rationality, those institutions thought in the midst of modernity also come to be revisited in order to broaden the understanding of the meanings on the different contexts. This is the case of children. Therefore, this paper argues two concepts that contribute to the enlargement the sense of childhood and the alleged crisis, announced since several decades by childhood scholars. Through readings of Benjamin, Adorno and Horkheimer, we present the potential of memory and the possible influences of so-called cultural industry in the children's daily life, altering significantly his childhood experiences to demonstrate that the relationship between memory and cultural industry is closer than we think.
