This is an interview with Professor Maria do Socorro Alencar Nunes Macedo, from the Federal University of São João del-Rei (MG), held in 2022 and which dealt with the Literacy Seminar Cycle in Times of the Covid-19 Pandemic. In the interview, the teacher narrates the ALFAREDE’s constitution and highlights the Seminar Cycle's action importance to monitor the literacy scenario during the pandemic. The event, broadcast online in 2021, was monthly and featured literacy teachers, who shared their pedagogical practices, challenges and strategies encountered to continue the children’s literacy process during remote teaching. Thus, the teacher presents the other collective’s actions and the national research’s results reinforcing the ALFAREDE’s importance in times of so many setbacks in the literacy’s field.
