Abstract

In the context of celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Law 10.639/03, which entered the debate about the African-Brazilian history and culture schools in the country, it is observed with great interest the consolidation of a project that can act in the way to promote this debate in schools. It is considered, therefore, that the Nucleus for Education, Prevention, Care and Attention for Violence in schools is considered nowadays as a powerful tool in the attempt to consolidate the work for redemption of the historically accumulated debts against the people ethnically discredited by the colonialist culture that formed our identity as a nation. Therefore, supported by a multiculturalist perspective, we have the idea that it is possible to devise an action plan for each situation, respecting the peculiarities, in order to rescue the minority groups through affirmative actions that gradually should be replaced by a true culture of diversity.
