Abstract

This work is part of a thesis in construction which has as theme the peripheral relations in schools from periphery of periphery: liquid schools. In this fragment, an analysis of a field journal and interviews collected in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre-RS are performed. In that place, in the condition of excluded from the central schools, professors accept different behaviors of the democratic ideal of knowledge. From 18 professors, 13 revealed disenchantment with the place and they do not believe in the teaching that they are protagonist. Then it is possible conclude, from Bauman’s contributions, that teaching, a mark of feminine intellect, did not set the women free from the male and capitalist rules which prioritize the human being. Whether in the beginning “those” who have invaded the public space (from men) were thrown in the bonfire, nowadays, many professors are convicted to stay on schooling-not-places, and when they take the option “cross their arms”, they are attending the system.
