This text intends to discuss a fundamental question: How has the relationship between class, race and democracy been treated in Brazil? The idea is to develop an argument around these themes from the perspective of thinking about the anti-racist struggle based on the articulation of these three themes in the perspective of an education for ethnic and “racial” relations. In this way, we take the theme from three perspectives, namely: first, on the perspective of the concept of social class; second, on the perspective of race and the anti-racist struggle in Brazil; and, third, on the critical perspective of the myth of racial democracy and the look at it on the education of ethnic and “racial” relations.
