Abstract

Regarding the context of “Pré-Acadêmico na Pós”, which for the first time in its history happened completely remotely because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the purpose of this essay is to analyze its assumptions, specificities and claims. From a set of reflections and actions related to Affirmative Action’s Policies in Brazil, we will present an overview of “Pré-Acadêmico”, its objectives, characteristics, quantitative and qualitative profile and challenges. Even though, the “Affirmative Action at post-graduation courses - Master degree, is not currently considered an institutionalized policy or action at Graduation Programs of master and doctorate, we strongly believe that they are, in fact, an action carried out by the Affirmative Action Program at UFMG - Federal University of Minas Gerais, and that its praxis is materialized by subjects engaged with the initiative, such as professors, students and attendees/participants.
