This paper shows how design education can encourage students to develop projects related to environmental issues. The work presents a project carried out in a product design course discipline. The theme of the project addresses the issue of endangered animals and the need to have materials to raise awareness about this topic. The aim of this article is to show how design can act in the information and awareness of this problem. Throughout the text, the process of developing the set of three dolls of animals in a situation of extinction is reported, with the main objective of teaching and informing about the problem of species extinction in a didactic, playful and challenging way, for children between 6 and 11 years old. years old.
