Considering the increase in negative environmental impacts in the Municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante/CE, it is important to characterize the environmental aspects and impacts in a public high school in SGA-CE, demonstrating the importance of environmental sustainability. The school has a fundamental role in the rooting of concepts and the construction of values ??demonstrated through environmentally responsible behavior in Educational Institutions. In this context, through an exploratory case study research and observation with a technical visit, analysis of the Pedagogical Political Project and an interview with the managing nucleus, the Survey of Environmental Aspects and Impacts (LAIA) generated by the School was carried out, to verify which actions can be suggested. Nine environmental aspects and impacts were identified and characterized with an assessment of Relevance characterized as critical (38%), moderate (50%) and negligible (12%), allowing to suggest the implementation of selective collection with the implementation of an EMS and the insertion of environmental policy in the PPP.
