The concern with the conservation of natural elements has grown, as a result of the impacts that have been aggressively affecting them. The objective of this study was to evaluate the environmental impacts on the banks of the Corrente river, in the urban perimeter. The survey was carried out at three points, namely the Water Treatment Station (ETA), the area around the Vermelhão Bridge (PV) and the Sewage Treatment Station (ETE). For the evaluation, Leopold's impact matrix was used as a data collection instrument, which was adapted in order to contemplate the reality of the area. In view of the results presented, it was found that the studied perimeter has high values of impacts, so it is necessary to adopt practices that can minimize the effects on the environment, such as the importance of collaboration and awareness of the population in order to try to reverse or minimize the effects of impacts.
