Abstract

This content was elaborated from a research developed over Centro de Promoção da Criança e do Adolescente (CPCA), an institution established in a very poor region in the city of Porto Alegre, RS and that has been developing referred socio- educative programs, specially by Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). The objective was to analise ‘how do assistance – education coordinators place themselves in the search for emancipation of their students?’ I raise the narrative, brought out by the workers in charge of the analyzed institution, discussing the statements elaborated for them about their relation with children and adolescents who access the services offered to the nearby community. As an epistemologically reference, I take the contribution from Morin (2001) about the “self-eco-re-organization” notion, articulating, also to theoretical contributions from Josso and Bourdieu. I intend, this way, to relate position-making observed in field, that are connected to the “approach” and “emancipation” notion,  to the formation characteristics constructed at work, the locus of assistance-education.
