Communication, entert tainment and learning: an exploratorry study about the u use of technologies by teenagers

Abstract

This article aims to analyze thee relations between a group of teenagers andd the computer and investigate the role of this techn nology and the virtual universe in their lives. Forr this, the conducted study was based on qualitative e and quantitative approach, using as a main instrument for data collection a questionnaire answ wered by 74 students aged between 14 and 16 years. From this, we identified that the computer is p part of the daily lives of these people and they g generally discriminate properly truth from fiction and recognize the benefits of interaction with the ccomputer as provide access to updated information, communication facilitated and make possible t to perform actions in virtual world that are impossible e in real world.
