The content of this paper stems from the research entitled Volume of Geometric Solids - A Teaching Experiment based on the Theory of V. V. Davydov". It seeks to respond the problem of educating the contemporary human being, considering learning mathematics as one of the important education elements, but it requires theoretical-methodological alternatives for teaching. The goal is to present the organization purpose of teaching this theory in developmental teaching formulated by Davydov as a material alternative for mathematics teaching, especially when the school has an educational purpose for the wider development of students' abilities.
