Abstract

Since the approbation of Law 11.769 in 2008 and the consequent change in LDB 9.394/96 in the article 26, many deliberations occur about the possibility of insertion of music in school. In contact with Professors of Art and students of Visual Art and Education, many times it is noticed the controversy and the doubt: music should be another discipline subject in several levels of Elementary Education? Who is the professor able to teach music? Schools should hire professors of music to attend the law which obligates music teaching at school? This work presents a little of this concerns, reported in some final course work, whose thematic lead to think about hypothesis to understand music teaching as a work of relations among languages or as an interdisciplinary process.
