Issues of gender and citizenship in romance Niketche de Paulina Chiziane

Abstract

The present article aims at analyzing the issues of gender and citizenship at Niketche, a novel of  Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane, taking into account the problematic relationship between male and female; the female is, firstly, dominated by the male which has economic and social power, but secondly, she conquers economic independence.
