Abstract

The use of LED lamps for artificial lighting projects has increased in recent years in many cases, it has proven its durability, energy efficiency and light compared to conventional lamps. All this economy and durability reduce environmental impacts, either in CO2 emissions per kWh of energy generated by reducing the amount of waste or the absence of toxic substances on human health and the environment. However, lack of comparative studies which show the economic viability of replacing lamps, such as fluorescent tubes of T8 for tubular type LED. This article aims to compare the two types of bulbs, checking the LED backlight performance and its economic viability.
