Waiting criteria and preference for publication

The publication of works approved by peer review and selected by the journal's Editor follows the chronological order of submission and approval.

However, because of the rules imposed by the Qualis/CAPES commission, there are criteria for preferential review and publication, which can be met by authors aiming at greater agility in the publication of their work:

a) because of the rules of exogeneity, preferably articles with any of the authors representing the State of Bahia, Brazil are limited to 25% of the total works published by volume, so that there is a specific queue for articles that fit into such circumstances. That is, for example, if nine articles are published in the respective issue of the Revista de Direito da Faculdade Guanambi (RDFG), only two may have an author linked to the Federal District, Brazil (even if the other co-authors are from other states);

b) in view of the imposed quality rules, preferably in each published volume, 60% of the articles will have an author (at least one) who has a doctoral degree, so there is a limitation on the publication of works without a doctoral authorship;

c) articles in co-authorship between permanent professors of Higher Education Institution Programs from different Brazilian States, with duly identified affiliation;

d) original articles by professionals linked to foreign Higher Education Institutions;

e) articles in English or other languages, even if the author is Brazilian;

f) articles resulting from research funded by funding agencies (except scientific initiation, master’s, and doctoral grants, or notices intended for programs such as PROEX, PROAP, PROSUP, and similar versions of state funding agencies) duly identified in the text (please, specify the notice of the resulting funding in the footnote).

In addition to such events, works that address a topic of imminent relevance and that may become obsolete because of the delay in publication may be published with preference. This situation is determined by decision of the editorial team of the Revista de Direito da Faculdade Guanambi (RDFG) and may be suggested by the peer reviewers in their review.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the criteria exposed in this topic determine the article's preference in the review and publication process, but they are not essential requirements. For example, although texts authored by a writer with a doctoral degree are preferred, there is no impediment to the publication of articles without this characteristic. All articles will be submitted to peer review, who will adopt identical parameters in the selection aiming at the quality scientific production of the journal.
