Tolerância liberal e pluralismo
uma crítica a heteronormatividade

O presente ensaio pretende analisar a conceito de heteronormatividade à luz do pluralismo e do princípio da tolerância liberal proposto por John Rawls. A heteronormatividade, como ordem social que impõe um modelo de organização de vida, reduz as possibilidades de tratamento igualitário dos indivíduos na medida em que propõe uma normatividade jurídica que privilegia uma única maneira de ser e estar, com supremacia heterossexual e total coerência e linearidade entre sexo biológico, gênero e sexualidade. Admitindo-se o fato do pluralismo, acredita-se que o princípio da tolerância liberal seja capaz de conformar a diversidade social estruturando uma sociedade plural e de ajudar na desconstrução das desigualdades fundadas na heteronormatividade.
