The market of carbon credits is a reality with global proportions. Clean Development Mechanism (MDL) projects, implemented mainly by developing countries, are a result of environmental concerns, which extrapolated to the political and business environments, generate impacts of economic nature. In this context, to involve social aspects, it becomes subject of study for the Accounting and Business Administration areas. Motivated by the intensification of transactions with carbon credit, on the one hand, and the lack of literature related to subject, on the other hand, this research sought to investigate articles about carbon credits with QUALIS A grade in national publications and international journals available in the Portal de Periódicos da Capes. With a descriptive content and a bibliographic-quantitative approach, the research identified, in the list of publications, the number of authors for each article, the frequency of keywords, the evolution of the number of publications and the methodology adopted. The results from ten articles of the sample, express the need and, in some cases, the superficiality of studies. As a suggestion for new researches, a qualitative analysis is recommended and collection from other databases.
