A STUDY WITH THE EVERLASTING OF DIAMANTINA - MINAS GERAIS/BRASIL

This article aims to present some characteristics of the main biomes of Minas Gerais and plant species for craft production. As methodology, a bibliographic review is carried out, a cut of scientific research, which registers the plant species and the possibilities of using their vegetal residues for craft production, in the territory of Minas Gerais. The knowledge, about this flora that can be found in Minas Gerais, is guided by a methodological analysis proposed by design. It is used as a focus group the Apanhadoras de Sempre-vivas, artisans, in communities in the municipality of Diamantina, Minas Gerais - Brazil. In results, it was possible to notice that, through participative activities, new products were developed by the community. It is concluded that the artisans made adaptations of the proposals, keeping the identity of the communities. A catalog with the plant species for handicraft production can contribute to the expansion of knowledge of the species and preservation of the biomes of Minas Gerais.
