The generation of solid waste in Brazil is a problem in constant expansion. Much of this material is not reused, reused or recycled and, in most cases, it is incorrectly disposed of in nature, causing several socio-environmental problems. This work aimed to map the experiences of selective collection and recycling in the city of Jequié (Bahia) and disseminate them through social media. The methodological approach combined bibliographic research, field research in a virtual environment, in loco observation to identify and survey the voluntary delivery stations (PEVs) and Ecopoints available for the disposal of household solid waste. The theoretical practical results consisted of the elaboration of informative/educational content and the creation of pages on social networks to disseminate the identified experiences, as well as the PEVs and Ecopoints. This intervention can constitute an important tool for environmental education and collaborate in the mitigation of problems related to solid waste, especially at the local level.
