Abstract

The objective of this paper is to present an overview of Brazilian research studies aimed at building “didactic models of genres”, of their didactic sequences, and of didactic intervention works developed under this perspective. However, we will limit ourselves to the perspective of socio-discursive interactionism (SDI), focusing especially on those works carried out under the supervision of Machado, and which were developed autonomously by different researchers. In this paper we will indicate the validity of using the theoretical and methodological concepts of the SDI, the genres analysed, the different objectives established and the theoretical, methodological and pedagogical conclusions which these works managed to arrive at, as well as the questions they left answered.
