Abstract

This paper intends to contribute to academic discussions on literacy in the Brazilian context with reflections about rewriting based on dialogism and an ethnographic perspective. My intention is to articulate a dialogical perspective of language studies to an ethnographic perspective of writing analysis through longitudinal interactions around writing. Based on Lillis’ (2008) concept of text history, I present a brief analysis of a text written by a college student as well as comments written by his colleagues.
