LA FUERZA DE LOS LAZOS SOCIALES: DEFINICIÓN Y PROPUESTA DE UN NIVEL DE MENSURACIÓN

Resumen

A pesar de que los lazos sociales desempeñan un  rol importante en el análisis de las redes de relación organizacional, su medición todavía es incipiente. Este artículo propone y evalúa empíricamente un nivel para medir la fuerza de los lazos de las redes de relación. Siguiendo las recomendaciones de Churchill (1979) para el desarrollo del instrumento, y a partir de la definición de lazos adoptada, el nivel presentó catorce ítems que fueron agrupados en cinco dimensiones: frecuencia de tiempo, similitud, reciprocidad, intensidad emocional e intimidad. El estudio contribuye a la literatura al revelar que la medición de los lazos puede ayudar en el mejor conocimiento de los individuos en ambientes grupales.
