SOCIAL INNOVATION APPLIED TO THE MANAGEMENT AREA: A CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the social innovation approaches applied to studies in the management area. In methodological terms, 151 articles published in the last twenty years in the management area, selected on the Web of Science, were analyzed. The qualitative analysis was anchored with the Iramuteq software. The results indicate three categories: a) Corporate Social Innovation, which extends the lens of social innovation beyond social enterprises; b) Constructs of Social Innovation, which presents the conceptual focus in the light of the investigated authors; c) Social Innovation Studies, which explains how research methodologies have been applied.
