Abstract

It can be considered that the approach of RBV (Resource-based View) theory, and the point of view of Project Management theory have different premises. While the first one aims to the way of resources behave for creating and sustaining competitive advantage, the second is addressed to the resources and expertise to maximize the probability of success of an enterprise. Both of them, however, are supported on theoretical assumptions that identify distinctive capabilities and core competencies in organizations. As objective, we explore common links between these two theories. Based on a case study, it was possible to identify which and how the resources of value from the perspective of RBV act simultaneously and synergistically in Project Management.
