Poetics of the Margin. César Aira and Arturo Carrera

Abstract

The present text makes contact between two of the greatest contemporary Argentinean writers, the poet Arturo Carrera and the fiction writer César Aira. Without making summary comparisons, "Poetics of the Margin" aims at delineating each author's main marks based on the notion of the fragment, of remains or residues and on their personal mythologies. By the same token, it exposes the points in common of these poetics that conceive art as production, and not as an always unfinished relation between procedure and result.
