Abstract

This paper intends to promote a reflection about the importance of film criticism, understood here as a discursive practice, given its prominent persuasive function in readers. In order to better understand the contemporary horizon of this discursive narrative, I will first trace some of its historical developments. My next step consists to discuss the strong influence that the film review discourse bear to the readers. That influence, like an interpretative govern way, have different components like the implicit judgments and the persuasive-rhetoric actions that aspire to the readers attention
