Abstract

Let there be game, let us all be at play. But in a "larger" game, one unrestricted, whose own rules are also put at play. This essay points to some political consequences (the community founded on the absence of the community), literary (literature as the interruption of the myth), and philosophical (the deconstructionist transgression of the Western metaphysics) from such a demand proposed by, among others, Georges Bataille (1896-1962).
