The present paper presents a dialogue between authors Bruno Pucci and Christian M. Mwewa around the idea of the Bildungsroman. Such a debate is grounded on Critical Theory and Literature. The ‘conversation’occurs around three novels, Um rio chamado tempo, uma casa chamada terra; Un amour de Swann; Grande Sertão: veredas. The discussion begins with a ‘dialogue’ that is reshaped as a ‘debate’, till finally becoming a ‘conversation.’ These three levels, ‘dialogue, debate, conversation,’ aim at reaffirming the dialectics present in the novels.Downloads
