Piedrabuena and the Burning Images from Gian Paolo Minelli

Abstract

The present study proposes to analyze the Zona Sur Barrio Piedra Buena project by the artist Gian Paolo Minelli, which brings together photographs of the residents of Piedrabuena complex in Buenos Aires. It seeks to reflect on the burning images, analyzing how Minelli's work brushes the history against the grain (in the words of Walter Benjamin) by remembering the history of these people struggle and resistance through art.
