Abstract

The reflections that permeate this essay have their origin in studies with the Research Group Identities and Migrations, linked to the line of research Language and Culture of the Graduate Program in Language Sciences of Unisul. The object in this research is to do a study on the African Literature in Portuguese Language and the elements that configure identity through the writer Germano Almeida in his book intituled “The testament of Mr. Napumoceno” about the perspective postcolonial. The book under study allows us to affirm literature as a relevant place to be investigated and problematized either by the representation of the colonized world from the perspective of the colonizer or by the construction of the representation of the colonized from the influence of the colonizer.
