Abstract

The series of chronicles "Cadernos de Minas Gerais", published by Osman Lins in Recife’s Jornal do Commércio in 1960, and the chronicle “Não é só um retrato na parede”, published by Julieta de Godoy Ladeira in the Literary Supplement of Minas Gerais in 1984, are two events that allow us to perceive in the foreground the impressions of this trip in narratives of Nove, novena (1966) and, in the background, the importance of the typography and the relations between Osman Lins and other writers from Minas Gerais that constitutes an important movement to think modernism between Pernambuco and Minas Gerais.
