Abstract

On Joseph Beuys, Bonnie Sherk, Rachel Berwick and Mark Dion animal performances, the irreductible point of view of inhuman alterity establishes new aesthetics and ethics modes that call into question the occidental dichotomies between subject and object of art, as well nature and culture, human and inhuman, selfness and otherness.
