Abstract

This text aims to discuss certain aspects of Brazilian popular song from the early 20TH century 60 years and how it manifests itself at the same time as aesthetic representation vector-a cultural product that works with the Transfiguration of reality, manipulating a collective symbolic capital.This article tries to offer some clues about the social and existential place of songwriter today, in Brazil.
