Abstract

This paper intends the proposition of a reading gesture about the bodies in Quebrada Queer, a Rap videoclipe published in 2018 by the first brazilian LGBTQIA+ Rap group. Considering the body as a discursive materiality and understanding the specificity of the audiovisual materiality our analysis intends to think about the effects of sense in the videoclipe based mainly on the concepts of subjectivation, resistance and silencing. Affiliated to the Materialist Discourse Analysis we propose a reading on how the (effects of) sense on the creation of an unprecedented new group in what they aspired to be (the first LGBTQIA+ Rap group) are materialized, but also on the creation of a new place of signification.
